2025 Fantasy Outlook
Kolek's rookie season in New York left a lot to be desired. He appeared in a total of 41 NBA games for an average of 7.2 minutes per night. He did find plenty of success in the G League, however, averaging 18.5 points, 9.0 assists, 5.1 rebounds and 1.8 steals. Looking ahead to 2025-26, Kolek wasn't able to build much momentum during the Summer League, as he shot 32.3 percent from the field through five games. New York's rotation will look very similar as well, but the team is even deeper following the additions of Jordan Clarkson and Guerschon Yabusele. Unless he makes some serious noise at training camp, Kolek will not be on the re-draft fantasy radar. Read Past Outlooks
Dishes out 10 assists
Kolek recorded five points (2-4 FG, 1-1 3Pt), 10 assists and one rebound in 20 minutes Wednesday in the Knicks' 119-92 win over the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
With just two garbage-time appearances over the Knicks' preceding four games, Kolek had been outside of head coach Mike Brown's rotation of late, but the second-year player resurfaced on the second unit while Miles McBride (ankle) rested for the second leg of a back-to-back set. Starting point guard Jalen Brunson (30 minutes) also had his playing time suppressed a bit while he fought through an illness, which cleared the way for Kolek to see more run than anticipated. Though Kolek came through with a team-leading assist total and committed just three turnovers on the night, he's still likely to drop out of the rotation Friday against the Trail Blazers with the expectation that McBride returns to action.

Drawing McConnell comparisons
Kolek was tasked with studying T.J. McConnell by the Knicks' coaching staff, according to Stefan Bondy of The New York Post.
ANALYSIS
"I said to Tyler, if there's anybody in this league you need to take a look at, it's him," head coach Mike Brown said. The Knicks head coach believes there are enough similarities between the players to think Kolek can mold his game after the Pacers guard. Kolek has had some ups and downs this season, but he seems to have carved out a steady role in the Knicks' rotation.
