2025 Fantasy Outlook
With Paolo Banchero, Franz Wagner and Jalen Suggs all missing extended time last season, da Silva saw an expanded role as a rookie. The No. 18 overall pick in 2024 started 38 of his 74 regular-season appearances. As a starter, da Silva averaged 9.2 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 28.2 minutes while posting 40/31/90 shooting splits. However, his production dropped off significantly when operating as a reserve, which is where he'll start the 2025-26 season. The Magic swapped Kentavious Caldwell-Pope for Desmond Bane this offseason and added Tyus Jones in free agency. Those additions shouldn't impact da Silva's role as the top forward behind Wagner and Banchero, but the addition of Bane does add another go-to playmaker whenever Orlando is shorthanded. Da Silva showed enough in Year 1 to be on fantasy managers' radars, but he doesn't need to be drafted in standard leagues and is multiple injuries away from seeing the expanded role he had at times in 2024-25. Disappointing close to 2025-26
Da Silva chipped in zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt) over eight minutes during Sunday's 116-94 loss to the Pistons in Game 7 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

2024 Fantasy Outlook
Da Silva spent four years at Colorado and finished his senior year with averages of 16.0 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.9 triples, 1.1 steals and 1.8 turnovers per game on 49.3 percent shooting from the floor and 83.5 percent from the free throw line. The former Colorado standout lands into a decent situation, as the Magic have been able to develop young players in the past, but that doesn't mean da Silva will be trusted into a role in the rotation right away. With the Magic being a playoff contender in the Eastern Conference, Da Silva isn't expected to see steady minutes at either forward spot, and it wouldn't be surprising if he starts the season in the G League to get regular playing time as he continues to adjust to the NBA level. Based on this scenario, fantasy managers shouldn't consider drafting Da Silva in standard or deeper drafts. He might have some upside in dynasty formats, but even that's debatable considering the lack of minutes he'll probably have as a rookie.

Praised by head coach
Da Silva was praised by head coach Jamahl Mosley after Saturday's win over the Timberwolves, according to Jason Beede of The Orlando Sentinel. "It's not easy to do to go from starting to off the bench to back to starting to back off the bench," Mosley said. "So, it says something about him as a professional. It says something about his work ethic and the coaches that work with him. It's not easy to do."
