2025 Fantasy Outlook
In what looked like the early stages of a breakout, Mann's first full season in Charlotte was cut short due to a disc herniation in his back, limiting him to a total of 13 games. In those games, Mann was terrific with 14.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.8 three-pointers in 24.5 minutes per game. Mann was declared fully healthy in June, giving him the full offseason to get back up to speed. The Hornets locked him up to a three-year, $24 million deal, though they did bring in some added competition in Spencer Dinwiddie and Collin Sexton. Additionally, Brandon Miller will be back at full strength in 2025-26. Mann has a great chance of winning the backup point guard role behind LaMelo Ball, while Sexton appears to be the favorite to back up Miller, with Dinwiddie as potentially the odd man out. Mann's overall upside is limited by poor defensive stats and a low field-goal percentage on high volume, but he's shown he can provide a steady supply of points, assists and three-pointers. But as long as the Hornets are at full strength, Mann projects as a late-round or deep-league fantasy asset. Read Past Outlooks
Quiet game in season-ending loss
Mann supplied two points (0-3 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and one assist in seven minutes during Friday's 121-90 Play-In Game loss to the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Mann didn't see the floor in Tuesday's Play-In Game win over the Heat but logged seven minutes during Friday's blowout loss. The 25-year-old guard posted several career lows while playing a limited role in 2025-26, averaging 5.5 points, 1.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 0.5 steals in 12.6 minutes per game across 53 regular-season appearances (one start). He's under contract for the 2026-27 season, and the Hornets hold a team option for 2027-28.

2022
After barely seeing the court to begin the 2023-24 season, Mann was traded from Oklahoma City to Charlotte before the trade deadline, affording him with a nice opportunity to prove his worth. In fact, following the trade, Mann started 28 consecutive games to close the season, averaging 11.9 points, 4.5 rebounds, 5.2 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.4 three-pointers in 31.0 minutes per game. During that span, Mann put up top-130 numbers, proving to be a sneaky late-season addition for anyone who snapped him up. However, coming into the 2024-25 season, the Hornets expect to have LaMelo Ball fully healthy, shifting Mann back to the bench. He may have done enough to establish himself as the primary backup ahead of Vasilije Micic, but unfortunately, that role likely won't produce sustainable value. While he isn't worth drafting in standard leagues, Ball's ongoing health concerns could open up another opportunity for Mann at some point. Managers would be wise to keep an eye on things in Charlotte, just in case Ball is forced to the sideline, even for a limited period.
