2025 Fantasy Outlook
A 2024 second-round pick, Post made 42 regular-season appearances (14 starts) and averaged 16.3 minutes per game as a rookie. The Boston College product has one elite trait: three-point shooting. He made 40.8 percent of his 4.3 attempts from deep per game last season. The Warriors moved on from veteran Kevon Looney this offseason but signed veteran Al Horford, leaving Post to compete for backup minutes with Trayce Jackson-Davis. Horford will start at the five more often than not, with Jackson-Davis operating as the defensive-minded backup and Post as the offensive reserve option. Looney's departure could open up more playing time for Post, who averaged 11.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.2 blocks on 48/44/69 shooting splits when he played at least 20 minutes as a rookie (19 games). Agrees to deal with Memphis
Post (foot) agreed to a three-year, $30 million contract with the Grizzlies on Monday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Post is a restricted free agent, so the Warriors can still match this offer sheet. Including the Play-In Tournament, the big man missed the Warriors' final nine games of the 2025-26 campaign due to a right foot injury, and he finished the regular season with averages of 7.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 0.5 blocks and 0.4 steals in 17.3 minutes per game across 67 outings (35 starts). Golden State has until 11:59 p.m. ET on Tuesday to match the Grizzlies' offer.

Could leave Golden State
The Warriors could let Post walk in free agency to keep their financial flexibility intact, according to Yossi Gozlan of The Third Apron.
ANALYSIS
Post agreed to sign a three-year, $30 million offer sheet with Memphis on Monday, so the Warriors are forced to decide whether to keep the big man around and have until Tuesday night to do so. The Warriors had been expecting an offer sheet for Post for several days, and since they see Post as a backup center, they might decide that a $30 million, three-year deal is too much to keep him around.
