Anthony Gill

Anthony Gill, the Charlotte, North Carolina native born on October 17, 1992, was a four-star recruit coming out of high school. After committing to South Carolina and playing in all 31 games as a freshman, Gill transferred after his head coach was fired. Forced to redshirt his first season for Virginia, his sophomore year saw increased playing time, earning a role on the bench. Gill hurt his ankle in the Cavaliers' Sweet-16 loss to Michigan State. In his junior year, Gill led the team in rebounding, grabbing 6.5 rebounds per game and finished third on his team in scoring with 11.6 points per game. His efforts were good enough to earn third-team All-ACC and the coaches All-ACC defensive team. After going undrafted in the 2016 NBA draft, Gill joined the Basketbol Süper Ligi, playing for Yeşilgiresun Belediye. In 2017, Gill was signed to the Charlotte Hornets summer league team and then signed with Khimki of VTB United League, after not returning to the Hornets. In 2020, Gill parted ways with Khimki and later signed a two-way deal with the Washington Wizards.
