Pat Connaughton News: Cut loose by Hornets

The Hornets waived Connaughton on Wednesday, Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints.com reports.

Connaughton's stint in Charlotte will end after 22 games. He averaged 2.9 points and 1.4 rebounds across 7.0 minutes. Charlotte acquired Tyus Jones earlier Wednesday, which pushed the team over the 15-player limit. Connaughton was the odd man out, and the veteran guard will look to close out his 11th NBA season with a different organization.
