Jared Butler News: Let go by Washington

The Wizards waived Butler on Saturday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.

Butler spent most of last season on a two-way pact with the Wizards before he was upgraded to a standard NBA contract in April. He ultimately appeared in 40 games for the Wizards, averaging 6.3 points and 3.2 assists in 14.2 minutes while shooting 48.8 percent from the field. Butler could look to catch on elsewhere on a two-way pact before the season gets underway.
