Rest-of-Season Projections
2026 Fantasy Outlook
Bibee hit some bumps in the road after two successful seasons to begin his major league career in 2023 and 2024. Bibee posted his lowest strikeout rate, lowest K-BB percentage and highest home run rate of his three year career, which were all contributing factors in his ERA jumping three quarters of a run from the previous season. He still managed to win 12 of his 31 starts, but his ratios were higher than expected because of the step back in performance indicators. The same four-seamer and cutter duo that served him well in 2024 were not as helpful in 2025, as that combination of pitches led to 15 home runs, and both saw a decline in whiff rate as well. This was not a velocity issue as much as a command issue because Bibee made mistakes within the zone. His final four starts in September looked more like the old Bibee, as he went 3-0 with a 20.6 K-BB percentage as he scattered four runs over those four outings. He may have burned you last year, but you can always forgive him this season, and it will not cost you as much to roster him. Read Past Outlooks
Plagued by long ball Sunday
Bibee took a no-decision Sunday against the White Sox, allowing six runs on six hits and one walk in four innings. He struck out one.
Analysis
Bibee was crushed by hard contact, serving up at least three home runs for the third time already this year. The 27-year-old right-hander also established a season low in strikeouts, as Sunday's showing is particularly discouraging after he turned in a quality start in five of his last six outings. Bibee is set to carry a 4.06 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 84:30 K:BB over 106.1 innings into a tough road assignment in Miami.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2025
2024
2023
Cleveland has a track record of developing pitchers and getting the most out of them, and Bibee looked to be on that path heading into 2024. The final numbers were good, as he improved his strikeout rate along with being one of just 14 pitchers (min 150 IP) with a K-BB percentage greater than 20. He also allowed two or fewer earned runs in 20 of his 31 starts. Yet, it is tough to overlook just how hittable his fastball was in 2024, as the league hit .282 off the pitch (.288 xBA) while hitting .235 or lower off the rest of his offerings. That blueprint makes it possible for teams to have success against him when they are disciplined enough with their approach. Bibee also allowed four or more earned runs eight different times in 2024, including four times against division foes, and half the homers came off that aforementioned fastball. Bibee will carry a price tag tax of "staff ace" with his results to date and expected growth in his third full season at the big league level, but in order for that path to become actualized, Bibee needs his fastball to step up to the plate in a big way in 2025.

Credits sinker for turnaround
Bibee mentioned the greater use of his sinker as the main reason for his recent turnaround, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports. "It just feels like a real weapon, where I can really lean on it to get quick outs," the right-hander said Friday. "Or I still can have guys freeze on it... It opens up a lot of stuff."
