2026 Fantasy Outlook
Despite spending the majority of the 2025 season with Double-A Rocket City, Aldegheri did see four major-league appearances with the Angels, including two starts. He didn't have great numbers in a small sample size with the Halos (7.90 ERA and 2.20 WHIP over 13.2 innings), but he put up good numbers in Double-A, finishing with an 8-8 record (over 22 starts) with a 3.75 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 105:56 K:BB across 122.1 innings. Aldegheri should start the 2026 season in the minors with Triple-A Salt Lake but could see some time in the majors as a spot starter or long-relief option out of the bullpen. Read Past Outlooks

The 24-year-old struggled to a 7.90 ERA and 2.20 WHIP over 13.2 innings in four appearances, including two starts, with the Angels in 2025. 2025 Fantasy Outlook
Aldegheri likely wouldn't have seen time in the big leagues last season if he'd remained with the Phillies, but a trade to the Angels -- perhaps the most aggressive MLB club in terms of promoting prospects -- resulted in a taste of the majors despite the southpaw having not yet thrown a pitch in Triple-A. The results were mixed, as Aldegheri tossed a six-inning, one-run, seven-strikeout gem in his second outing but struggled in his first and third appearances before ending the campaign on the IL due to a finger blister. Aldegheri isn't a hard thrower, but he notched big strikeout numbers in the minors while also issuing his fair share of free passes, and his 10:10 K:BB during over 13 innings with Angels suggests that walks could be an impediment to establishing consistency in the majors. He'll have a chance to compete for a spot at the back end of the team's rotation in spring training but is more likely to begin the campaign in the minors.
