2026 Fantasy Outlook
Conforto came to the Dodgers on a one-year deal last December and was one of the few weak links on the championship club. The veteran outfielder finished the campaign with a career-worst .638 OPS over 486 plate appearances, contributing only a modest amount of power (12 homers). Conforto's advanced metrics weren't as bad as the OPS suggests, and his .237 xBA was considerably higher than his actual .199 mark, but he was average or worse in nearly every category aside from chase rate (82nd percentile) and walk rate (84th percentile). Conforto was left off Los Angeles' postseason roster entirely, which is a pretty good indication that the team isn't likely to bring him back. In his previous three healthy campaigns before joining Los Angeles (he didn't play in 2022 due to a shoulder injury), the outfielder hit between .232 and .239 with between 14 and 20 homers, so MLB teams who pursue him will likely look to that level of production as an indicator of what he may be able to offer, most likely as a platoon option. Sitting again Saturday
Conforto isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Nationals.
Analysis
Conforto entered the season as the favorite to start in right field while Seiya Suzuki works his way back from a knee injury, but the Cubs have instead given Matt Shaw the starting nod in both of their first two contests. Conforto should still make occasional starts in the field, though perhaps not as often as initially thought.

Conforto revitalized his career in San Francisco after right shoulder surgery wiped out his entire 2022 season. He now joins a Dodgers team that has become even more of a dream destination for many given their reputation for making players better and putting them in the best position to succeed. For Conforto, a lefty slugger, that means a platoon role, starting against righties but sitting against most southpaws. Conforto reached 20 homers last year for the first time since 2019 and can do enough damage in a platoon to be a viable fourth or fifth outfielder in fantasy. He's something of an injury risk, but blind faith in the Dodgers is not the worst strategy at this point.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Astros showing interest
The Astros have expressed interest in signing Conforto, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
Analysis
The Astros had hoped to trade Isaac Paredes for a left fielder, but with the likelihood of that dwindling, they're turning their attention to free agency. Conforto slashed just .199/.305/.333 during the 2025 regular season with the Dodgers, but the Astros might be willing to take a shot on a bounce-back showing on a modest contract.
