2026 Fantasy Outlook
It's not clear where Anderson fits into the Tigers' short-term or long-term plans, but he's proven in the minors and the Arizona Fall League that he can flat out hit. The righty hitter slashed .296/.350/.478 with 19 home runs, a 15.8 percent strikeout rate and .323 BABIP in 122 games across Double-A and Triple-A and then hit .447 with four home runs and a 9:18 K:BB in 14 AFL games. Unfortunately, Anderson is a poor defender everywhere, including second base, where he has seen the most time. Given that Anderson is a safe bet to mash lefties, he may break in on the short side of a platoon with Colt Keith or Kerry Carpenter, and Detroit may be satisfied with him in that role. A 6-foot, 215-pound plodder, Anderson won't contribute with his legs and his aggressive approach makes him more valuable in average leagues than OBP leagues. Read Past Outlooks

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Standing out in Detroit system
Anderson was a breakout prospect in the Tigers organization during the 2025 season, according to Jonathan Mayo, Jim Callis and Sam Dykstra of MLB.com.
Analysis
Anderson didn't turn heads with his play in his first season as a pro, but he took a massive leap forward in 2025 while playing at Double-A Erie, slashing .306/.358/.499 with 14 homers in 90 regular-season games. That granted him a promotion to Triple-A Toledo, and he also saw action in the Arizona Fall League, so it wouldn't be surprising if he's promoted to the majors at some point during the 2026 campaign.
