ANALYSIS
Martin posted a .938 OPS with 32 homers at Triple-A Oklahoma City in the Dodgers organization in 2022 before spending 2023 playing in Korea. The 28-year-old outfielder has a career .588 OPS over parts of three major-league seasons, with his last action in the big leagues coming in 2021 with the Rangers. Martin will compete for a reserve outfielder role but will probably wind up at Triple-A Salt Lake.

2017 Fantasy Outlook
The toolsy Martin is yet another player in a long list of players who was able to take advantage of the friendly hitting confines of the California League. The 21-year-old posted career highs of 23 home runs, 75 RBI and 20 stolen bases in 110 games for High-A Lancaster. By contrast, Martin hit just eight home runs in 105 games the year before at Low-A Quad Cities. Martin's strikeouts went up as he attempted to muscle up on more balls, though he did walk a career-best 55 times in 2016 as well. Still, it remains to be seen if Martin was simply a product of his environment, or if he has finally tapped into his potential. It should be noted that he has never hit above .274 at any level in the minors, and Martin's 2017 campaign at Double-A Corpus Christi will be a much better indicator of his future path.
