Miller picked up a blown save in Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Mets, allowing two earned runs on three hits while striking out two over two-thirds of an inning.
Analysis
After Keaton Winn gave up two hits and recorded one out in the eighth inning, Miller entered the game and allowed a go-ahead two-run double to give the Mets a 3-2 lead. He then surrendered an RBI single and another RBI double before striking out the final two batters of the inning. The left-hander has allowed two runs in back-to-back outings and now owns a 12.00 ERA, 2.67 WHIP and 4:2 K:BB across three innings in four outings this season.

2025 Fantasy Outlook
Miller walked 5.8 batters per nine innings across his four seasons in the minors, but still managed to win a spot in the Giants' Opening Day bullpen. The 6-foot-5 southpaw's control issues persisted at the MLB level - his 13.4 percent walk rate was a 2nd percentile metric in 2024 - but he struck out opposing hitters at an impressive 30.6 percent clip (92nd percentile) while inducing a top-30 groundball rate (50.8 percent) among relief pitchers. San Francisco deployed the rookie as an opener 10 times out of his 73 appearances, but he also picked up 14 holds, suggesting there is potential for Miller to earn a higher-leverage role with the Giants in 2025. He'll need to improve his control to take on greater responsibilities, but Miller's profile is worth considering as a late-round save spec in deeper formats.
