2026 Fantasy Outlook
Schneemann was deployed primarily against right-handers, with just 15 percent of his plate appearances coming versus lefties, as his platoon splits largely dictated his role. He produced a .670 OPS with the platoon advantage, compared to a .428 mark against same-side pitching. While second base was his main position, he logged time everywhere except first base and catcher, and his defense earned him finalist recognition for the AL Gold Glove among utility players, which helped keep his bat in the lineup despite modest production. He did make progress at the plate, hitting the ball harder and more often than in his rookie season. Entering his age-29 season, the developmental runway is limited, and while a continued step forward could still change the outlook, he profiles most clearly as a versatile platoon bat capable of covering multiple positions, with limited power and speed. Out of Monday's lineup
Schneemann is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Nationals.
Analysis
The left-handed-hitting Schneemann will begin the contest on the bench as the Nationals roll with lefty PJ Poulin as their opener and righty Zack Littell as their bulk reliever. With Schneemann resting, the Guardians will start Angel Martinez, Steven Kwan and Chase DeLauter in their outfield and Rhys Hoskins at designated hitter.

2025 Fantasy Outlook
After spending parts of six seasons in the minors, Schneemann made his MLB debut in 2024. The 27-year-old rookie got off to a strong start, posting an .836 OPS across 21 games in June after first getting the call. However, Schneemann proceeded to post a .600 OPS with a .199 batting average over his final 52 games. During that final stretch, he also struck out 33.6 percent of the time. Oddly, the lefty bat performed much better against southpaws, registering a .993 OPS in those matchups, though he only saw 36 plate appearances against lefties all year. Looking ahead, Schneemann projects as a platoon option who should continue to see more run against righties. He has the versatility to play multiple positions, which boosts his overall usefulness, though Schneemann will need to see a bump in playing time to take a step forward for fantasy purposes.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Gold Glove finalist
Schneemann is one of three players nominated to win the 2025 Gold Glove Award as a utility player in the American League, according to MLB.com.
Analysis
Schneemann tallied a plus-8 OAA and plus-8 DRS during the regular season while lining up at every position except pitcher, catcher and first base. However, his numbers aren't as eye-popping as the two other candidates for the award, Ernie Clement and Mauricio Dubon. Clement is in the running to win multiple Gold Gloves, as he's also nominated at third base, while Dubon has been a finalist for this award each of the last two seasons, winning it in 2023.
