2025 Fantasy Outlook
Snider was claimed by Seattle last off-season after he was DFA'd by Arizona. With the Mariners, the 28-year-old finally found success in the majors, posting a 1.94 ERA (3.40 FIP) and 1.18 WHIP across a new career-high 41.2 frames. His 20.1 K-BB percentage was a top-40 mark among relievers and in the same company as more renowned arms such as Emmanuel Clase (20.7%), Jason Adam (20.6%) and Evan Phillips (20.2%). Snider tossed significantly fewer sinkers - which had previously been ineffective - and saw his groundball rate plummet by 22.1 percentage points. Instead, the right-hander primarily threw fastballs and sweepers along with the occasional cutter, which yielded much better results. If this carries over into 2025, he could slide into a more important role in Seattle's bullpen.
