2026 Fantasy Outlook
Faucher - pronounced "FOE-shay" - was the only Marlin to finish with double-digits saves (15) in 2025. However, the 30-year-old righty never fully solidified himself as Miami's closer, as a handful of his bullpen-mates were also successful in converting multiple save chances. After not permitting a single home run in 2024, Faucher allowed eight last year, matching his total from the previous three seasons combined. His 23.1 percent K-rate was in line with his career average and he improved his walk rate to a career-best 9.4 percent, although that mark was still well below league average (26th percentile). On the plus side, Faucher significantly improved the rate at which he allowed hard contact, ranking in the 91st percentile with his 34.5 percent mark that was well below his career average (39.4 percent). He should once again be in Miami's mix to close games in 2026, but after nine pitchers recorded saves for the team last year, expect Faucher to once again log fewer than 20. Read Past Outlooks
Notches first save Wednesday
Faucher earned the save in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Dodgers, working around three walks in a scoreless ninth inning.
Analysis
After Pete Fairbanks (hand) landed on the IL on Tuesday, it was Faucher who got the second crack at the ninth-inning job Wednesday after Tyler Phillips picked up the save Tuesday night. It didn't come easy for Faucher, who walked the bases loaded with one out, but he managed to induce a game-ending double play off the bat of Freddie Freeman to seal a one-run victory. The 30-year-old Faucher sports a 4.91 ERA with a 1.82 WHIP and 13:12 K:BB across 11 innings this season. He figures to share closing duties with Phillips and Anthony Bender while Fairbanks is sidelined.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2025
2023
Though he was denied an Opening Day roster spot, Faucher was recalled early in the 2024 campaign and established himself as one of Miami's more reliable relief pitchers. The 29-year-old quickly established himself in leverage situations and was elevated to Miami's closer role after the team traded its star relievers. Faucher recorded six of Miami's seven saves after the trade deadline and appeared poised to finish the year as the Marlins' closer before suffering a right shoulder impingement in September. While this ended his season prematurely, the right-hander posted a solid 3.19 ERA over 53.2 innings and did not allow a home run all year. Faucher's 11.1 percent walk rate leaves a lot to be desired, but health permitting, he's the current favorite to open 2025 as the Marlins closer. Whether he can maintain that role is to be determined, as Andrew Nardi, Jesus Tinoco, or a free-agent could take the the job fairly easily.
