Rest-of-Season Projections
2026 Fantasy Outlook
Dana spent most of the 2025 season in Triple-A but did appear in seven games (five starts) for the Halos and posted a 6.40 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 33:18 K:BB across 32.1 innings. All four of his major-league losses came in September, and his numbers in the minors weren't much better. It's hard to envision Dana being a central part of the Angels' rotation in 2026, but there are two things that could work in his favor come spring training. First, he's 22 years old and has just 10 major-league appearances (eight starts) under his belt over the last two years. Second, the top of the Angels' projected rotation is dealing with a myriad of injuries, which gives Dana a path to being on the 26-man roster come Opening Day. That makes Dana an intriguing flyer option in deeper leagues. Read Past Outlooks
Ready to pitch for Triple-A
The Angels transferred Dana (illness) from the rookie-level Arizona Complex League to Triple-A Salt Lake on Monday.
Analysis
Dana was brought along slowly during camp after being diagnosed with mononucleosis in late January, but after regaining weight and stamina and building up at extended spring training, he's finally ready to join the rotation at Salt Lake. The 22-year-old righty has made eight starts in the majors over the past two seasons but will likely need to show health and effectiveness at Salt Lake for at least a handful of outings before potentially receiving a call-up to the Angels.

2025 Fantasy Outlook
As is their wont, the Angels promoted Dana from Double-A to the majors for his big-league debut at the beginning of September. He made three starts, largely struggling to the tune of a 9.58 ERA, 2.03 WHIP and 8:7 K:BB in 10.1 innings before getting shut down for the year in what the team said was an effort to make sure he entered the offseason healthy. Dana was the second-youngest player in the majors (behind Jackson Chourio), and he turned 21 in December, so we shouldn't hold his struggles in the majors against him. He logged a 2.52 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 20.1 K-BB% in 135.2 innings over 23 starts at Double-A, and he was the second-youngest pitcher at that level to log 100-plus innings. He has the secondary pitches to succeed, with a plus slider and a good enough changeup, however his 94-mph fastball was tattooed by big leaguers (.621 wOBA, .481 xwOBA). The 6-foot-4 righty is still young enough to be adding velocity to his fastball, but that is not a given. Dana should spend the majority of the year in the big-league rotation, health and success permitting.
