Pauley has put up impressive stats since getting drafted in the 13th round in 2022, and he surprisingly appears to be on the cusp of making the Padres' Opening Day roster. A lefty-hitting 23-year-old capable of playing the outfield and the infield, Pauley's raw power and speed grade out as average (50-grade) at best, but he's gotten the absolute most of his abilities thus far. A lot of his strong performances have come while he was older than the average prospect in a league and/or in a hitting-friendly environment, but his strikeout rate has always been below 22 percent, and he is a career .302 hitter.
