Hopkins made his MLB debut in 2023 and looked overmatched (38.6 K%) against MLB pitching across two stints. He hit a ton at Triple-A Louisville, slashing .308/.411/.514 with 16 home runs, but it wasn't enough to hold a spot on the 40-man roster. The Reds could have used Hopkins' right-handed bat in a lefty-heavy outfield, but he was not going to be more than a fringe player. In San Francisco, Hopkins joins a logjam of 12 outfielders on the 40-man roster, and it's unclear what the Giants are planning for him. Read Past Outlooks
