Misner came to the Tampa Bay organization in the Joey Wendle trade and has shown plenty of athleticism in each of the three seasons in the organization. He has hit at least 15 homers and stolen at least 20 bases in each of the previous three minor league seasons but a late season promotion led to 10 strikeouts in 15 plate appearances around a lonely single. The strikeouts should not have been a surprise as Misner has swung and missed plenty in the minors including a Siri-like 35.8% strikeout rate in 2023 and a 29.3% this past season as he repeated Triple-A baseball. Around those strikeouts has also been plenty of walks, which has helped him get on base enough to steal 83 bases in 96 attempts as a member of the organization. The athleticism is fun, but the 27 year old has to make better contact if there is to be any future for him at the big league level. Read Past Outlooks
