Abreu led the league with a career-high 38 holds in 2024 and was one of five relief pitchers with 100-plus strikeouts on his ledger. The 27-year-old righty slightly improved his walk rate (9.8 percent), but lost some zip on his four-seam fastball, averaging 96.8 mph on the pitch compared to 97.6 mph the year prior. This was still well above average (88th percentile), but he generated fewer whiffs (28.3 percent) with the fastball while allowing seven home runs and a .500 SLG. Abreu only has nine career saves, but certainly has the skillset of a closer and would step into the role seamlessly for Houston if Josh Hader got hurt. For now, he's an elite setup man who still offers some fantasy value - especially in deeper formats - for those seeking strikeouts, holds or ratio support. Read Past Outlooks
