Knee problems limited Lynn to just 23 starts in 2024, marking the second time over the last three seasons that he's missed significant time due to injury. It's possible all the mileage (he passed the 2,000-inning threshold last season) and his age (he'll turn 38 in May) is catching up to him. Lynn was solid in 2024 when on the bump, although his xERA of 4.93 was more than a full run higher than actual 3.83 ERA. He also saw the velocity on his four-seamer drop to a career-low 92.3 mph and his strikeout rate (21.3 percent) dip below league average for the first time since 2017.
