2026 Fantasy Outlook
Save for a pair of short stints in the second half with Triple-A Worcester, Hamilton was with the Red Sox all season. However, he didn't play as well-or as often-as he did the previous season. He trimmed his strikeout rate slightly, but he hit the ball with less authority. Hamilton lofts too much contact for a hitter with 95th-percentile sprint speed but only modest power. He managed to hit six homers in 194 plate appearances, but he would have been better off hitting the ball on the ground and letting his teammates drive him home. Hamilton's fantasy charm lies in his stolen bases, with 55 total over the last two seasons. However, his .285 OBP during that span highlights his need to refine his approach. He was traded to the Brewers in February, which opens up his path to playing time a bit. However, Hamilton is likely to be limited to an infield utility role, and even if there are injuries elsewhere in the infield, Milwaukee seems likely to test their other options rather than give Hamilton regular run.
