2026 Fantasy Outlook
Dobbins was the first of three rookie pitchers to debut for the Red Sox last season, with more highly regarded prospects Connelly Early and Payton Tolle promoted later in the year. He opened the season at Triple-A Worcester and spent much of the first half moving between the majors and minors. Dobbins made 13 appearances for Boston, including 11 starts, before tearing the UCL in his right knee in early July. The injury ended his season, though he is expected to be fully healthy by spring training. He showed solid control and did a good job limiting home runs, but a modest 17.6 percent strikeout rate resulted in an ERA near league average, which was supported by the underlying estimators. While he missed more bats in the minors, Dobbins has not profiled as a dominant arm and is best suited for a swingman role, primarily working out of the bullpen, which limits his fantasy appeal.
