Otto Lopez

Lopez saw just 10 plate appearances in the majors in 2023 as an oblique strain forced him onto the 60-day injured list in July, with the majority of his playing time coming across 346 plate appearances at Triple-A Buffalo. Lopez slashed .258/.313/.343 in Triple-A before the injury shortened his season. Capable of playing both middle infield roles as well as across the outfield, Lopez's path to major league playing time is pretty muddy. The signing of Isiah Kiner-Falefa knocks Lopez down the utility man depth chart for the Blue Jays as he'll likely compete with Ernie Clement for a bench role in 2024. Read Past Outlooks
