2026 Fantasy Outlook
An All-Star in 2024 and the Twins' Opening Day starter at second base last season, Castro was flipped to the Cubs at the 2025 trade deadline. His time on the North Side was entirely forgettable, with Castro slashing .170/.245/.240 across 110 plate appearances. He did not log a single at-bat for the Cubs in the postseason. Despite the lackluster finish, Castro reached double-digit homers and double-digit steals for the second consecutive campaign. He made a major impact in the SB category in 2023 when he swiped 33 bags, though that looks like the clear outlier for his career. A free agent this winter, Castro is a true super-utility man capable of playing most positions on the field. With three-position eligibility (2B, 3B, OF) and just enough power and speed to be useful when plugged in, Castro is in the mix as a potential bench piece in deeper leagues. Read Past Outlooks
