Injuries

Day-to-Day
Bronson Arroyo, SP, ARI (elbow) -- Not worried about his tender elbow and believes he'll be able to make next start.
Clay Buchholz, SP, BOS (knee) -- Suffered a hyperextended knee during start Monday and availability for Saturday remains uncertain.
Matt Cain, SP, SF (hamstring) -- Will throw a bullpen session Wednesday with the anticipation that he'll be OK to start Saturday against the Cardinals.
Yu Darvish, SP, TEX (neck) -- Was scratched from Tuesday's scheduled start due to neck stiffness, with precautionary MRI producing "unremarkable" results. Indicated the stiffness is not as severe as what he dealt with in spring training and could still make a start on Rangers' road trip.
Chris Davis, 1B, BAL (paternity) -- Returned to Tuesday's lineup after spending the last two games on the paternity list.
Evan Gattis, C, ATL (wrist) -- Scratched from Tuesday's lineup with a right wrist strain.
Ryan Hanigan, C, TB (hamstring) -- Suffered a setback with hamstring Monday, but believes he can play through the issue.
Aaron Hill, 2B, ARI (ankle) -- Returned to the lineup Tuesday.
John Jaso, C, OAK (back) -- Returned to the lineup Tuesday.
Dioner Navarro, C, TOR (finger) -- Stayed in the game Tuesday despite being unable to bend index finger after he was hit by a bat while catching.
Nick Punto, 2B, OAK (calf) -- Held out of Tuesday's lineup.

Danny Valencia, 3B, KC (hand) -- Missed third straight game Tuesday.
Will Venable, OF, SD (foot) -- Held out of Tuesday's lineup.
Yordano Ventura, SP, KC (elbow) -- GM Dayton Moore says Ventura will only miss one start. Jeff Passan of Yahoo! Sports reports that Ventura was removed from Monday's start with "valgas stress overload," a condition that can lead to cartilage damage, bone chips and instability of the UCL, clouding his long-term prospects for the season.

Players on the Disabled List
Jose Abreu, 1B, CWS (ankle) -- Took grounders prior to Tuesday's game and appeared to be moving around better.
Carlos Beltran, OF, NYY (elbow) -- Felt good after taking another round of swings Tuesday.

Prince Fielder, 1B, TEX (neck) -- Underwent successful surgery Monday.
Sam Fuld, OF, MIN (concussion) -- Has yet to resume baseball activities.
Gio Gonzalez, SP, WSH (shoulder) -- Stretched out long-toss program to 120 feet and threw on flat ground for fourth straight day Tuesday.
Miguel Alfredo Gonzalez, SP, PHI (shoulder) -- Will fly back to Philadelphia for an examination after complaining of a dead arm following his third rehab appearance.

James Paxton, SP, SEA (back) -- Said he still has soreness in his triceps from Saturday's rehab outing and will meet with team doctor for a checkup.
Michael Pineda, SP, NYY (ribs) -- Completed two-inning extended spring training start without incident.
Johan Santana, SP, BAL (shoulder) -- Completed final extended spring training start Tuesday, giving up two runs on six hits and no walks while striking out eight batters over 4.1 innings.
Nick Swisher, 1B, CLE (knee) -- Will fly back to Cleveland to have team doctors examine his knee.
Noah Syndergaard, SP, NYM (elbow) -- MRI came back clean Tuesday.
Mark Trumbo, 1B, ARI (foot) -- No longer wearing a walking boot and plans to hit in batting cage Wednesday.
Joey Votto, 1B, CIN (quadriceps) -- Manager Bryan Price said Votto is making "good, positive" progress in his recovery but doesn't know when the first baseman might return.

Recommended Pickup

Jesus Aguilar, 1B, CLE -- Though he didn't make much of an impact in his first taste of the big leagues two weeks ago, Aguilar seems primed for regular at-bats following Tuesday's promotion. With the struggling Carlos Santana (concussion) and Nick Swisher (knee) both landing on the disabled list, Aguilar wouldn't seem to have much competition for at-bats at first base for the foreseeable future. The 23-year-old Aguilar brings a solid minor league track record of production to the table, as he's showcased excellent contact skills to go along with moderate power at Double-A Akron in 2013 (.275/.349/.427 line to go along with 16 homers over 499 at-bats) and Triple-A Columbus so far this season (.286/.386/.503 with seven homers over 147 at-bats). Considering the large chunk of playing time headed his way, Aguilar is worthy of an immediate add if available in AL-only leagues, and could warrant a look in deeper mixed leagues if he starts producing right away. He slotted in at sixth in the Cleveland lineup on Tuesday.

Other Recent Recommendations: Zach Britton, Adam Dunn, Lonnie Chisenhall, Jimmy Nelson and Seth Smith.
