After a breakout season in 2023 in which Sutton averaged 8.2 points, 4.8 assists and 2.6 rebounds in 26.3 minutes per game across 40 regular-season appearances (12 starts) with the Mercury, Sutton took a step back in 2024 while playing for Phoenix and Washington. However, she bounced back in 2025 following a full offseason with the Mystics, and she averaged 7.4 points, 3.9 assists and 1.8 rebounds in 26.1 minutes per game while serving exclusively as a starter. The 27-year-old will have another change of scenery this year after being selected by the Fire in the second round of the WNBA Expansion Draft. Sutton should be in the mix for meaningful minutes with Portland, but the Fire selected several other promising guards, so she carries some fantasy risk heading into 2026, especially since the team also acquired guards Maya Caldwell and Haley Jones via free agency. After appearing in all 40 regular-season games with the Mercury in 2023, Sutton was traded from Phoenix to Washington in August of 2024. She had appeared in 22 of the Mercury's first 28 games of the season but was an inconsistent part of the Mystics' rotation, averaging just 0.6 points and 1.4 assists in 7.3 minutes per game over seven appearances with her new team. The 26-year-old should have an opportunity to earn a larger role in Washington this year now that Ariel Atkins, Karlie Samuelson and Julie Vanloo are no longer with the team, but Sutton will still have to compete for playing time with rookie Sonia Citron in 2025. However, rookie Georgia Amoore suffered an ACL injury in late April that could lead to additional playing time for Sutton. Sutton was mainly a streaming candidate in most fantasy formats in 2023, but after a discouraging 2024 campaign, it's possible that she bounces back slightly in 2025.

Sutton made her WNBA debut in 2020 but was out of the league for two seasons before landing a training camp deal with the Mercury ahead of the 2023 campaign. She earned a roster spot with Phoenix and managed to carve out a fairly sizable role, averaging 8.2 points, 4.8 assists and 2.6 rebounds in 26.3 minutes per game over 40 appearances (12 starts). The Mercury have extended a reserved qualifying offer to her ahead of the 2024 season, but if she returns to Phoenix in 2024, she'll have several new teammates to compete with for playing time, as the team brought in Kahleah Copper and Natasha Cloud. Her role elsewhere would be somewhat murkier, but it wouldn't be surprising to see the 25-year-old at least be able to see consistent bench minutes in 2024, regardless of where she's playing. After a few years out of the league, Sutton is an intriguing mid-round fantasy option ahead of the 2024 season.
