Despite making a career-high 43 appearances, including 14 starts, with the Mystics in 2025, Dolson put up career-low numbers across the board, save for her injury-riddled 2023 season in New York. When playing 20-plus minutes, Dolson has been a strong fantasy contributor in her career, but she'll have plenty of competition for minutes in 2026 after signing with the Storm. Although Seattle lost Nneka Ogwumike and Skylar Diggins during the offseason, the team retained Ezi Magbegor and Dominique Malonga while drafting Awa Fam at No. 3 overall. Dolson's draft-day value will be limited if she's unable to claim a starting role, but the 34-year-old center could see slightly more work than usual early in the year since Magbegor is slated to miss the start of the season due to a right foot injury. Dolson's role could shrink throughout the season once Magbegor returns to full health and Malonga and Fam develop. ANALYSIS
Dolson was flawless as a shooter, connecting on all three of her field-goal attempts while also doing damage at the charity stripe with eight free throws. She also fared well as a rim protector, logging her fourth game of the season with multiple blocks. The center is averaging 8.3 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.3 blocks in 25.6 minutes per contest across seven appearances.

Dolson had a disappointing second season with the Liberty in 2023, but she bounced back in her return to Washington in 2024, averaging 9.5 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 25.9 minutes per game while starting in all 39 of her regular-season appearances. Fellow frontcourt option Shakira Austin had her playing time monitored throughout the season, and the Mystics were also playing without forward Elena Delle Donne, who seems unlikely to rejoin the team in 2025. Although Aaliyah Edwards could take another step, and Austin could be more available this year, it certainly seems possible that Dolson will be able to retain a fantasy-relevant role in her age-33 season.

Dolson was a fairly reliable contributor for New York in 2022 but was little more than a streaming option last year after the Liberty put together a superteam that included stars like Breanna Stewart and Jonquel Jones. However, Dolson should have a chance for a fresh start with the Mystics after agreeing to a multi-year deal with the team during the offseason. She spent the first three seasons of her career in Washington and should have a chance to carve out a sizable role in 2024 after Elena Delle Donne announced that she's stepping away from basketball. It's not yet clear whether Shakira Austin will be ready for the start of the regular season after undergoing hip surgery in December, but Dolson should be the favorite to serve as the starting center if Austin is sidelined. If she can bounce back during her age-32 season, Dolson is an intriguing sleeper option in the late rounds of fantasy drafts.

Dolson started all 36 regular-season games last year, her first campaign in New York, and posted 8.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.2 steals-plus-blocks across 22.9 minutes per game. However, the veteran is expected to operate in a reserve role this year after the offseason acquisitions of Breanna Stewart and Jonquel Jones. Han Xu provides a little more upside than Dolson and could push the veteran to the No. 3 center by the end of the season. Either way, Dolson is firmly entrenched behind Jones and may only be a serviceable fantasy asset if the 2021 MVP has to miss time. Given her inconsistent production and Jones' arrival, Dolson's fantasy outlook for the 2023 season is bleak, though she does have value as a handcuff option.

After winning the championship with the Sky last season, Dolson opted to sign a multi-year deal to return home and play in New York. She averaged 7.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists in her fifth and final campaign with Chicago, but her ability to stretch the floor – 40.4 percent from three – gives her added value as a big. Dolson figures to be a key part of New York's rotational depth during the 2022 campaign, whether that's as a starter alongside Natasha Howard in the frontcourt or as one of the first players off of the bench.
