Rebekah Gardner

Gardner was solid as a rookie last year, posting 8.4 points (54.2 percent shooting), 3.3 rebounds and 1.4 steals in 21.7 minutes across 35 appearances (two starts). Chicago lost Candace Parker, Courtney Vandersloot and Allie Quigley this offseason but signed Courtney Williams and acquired Marina Mabrey via trade, leaving Gardner in a similar position on the depth chart as in 2022. However, Gardner is undoubtedly a candidate for a larger role in Year 2, as the Sky form an identity with a new-look squad. If she grabs more offensive responsibility, the key for Gardner will be finding a way to maintain her shooting efficiency and defensive production. Otherwise, it would negate what made her a top-40 fantasy player in roto leagues as a rookie. However, a raw improvement in her offensive numbers would boost her value in points leagues regardless of efficiency.
