2026 Fantasy Outlook
Sabally is preparing for a new start in 2026, as she's heading over to Toronto for the Tempo's inaugural season. The Tempo chose her with their second first-round pick in the WNBA Expansion Draft, suggesting the club has big plans for Sabally right away. With the Liberty employing a loaded frontcourt of Breanna Stewart, Jonquel Jones and Emma Meesseman, Sabally was just a part-time player with New York a year ago and averaged only 5.4 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in 17.9 minutes per tilt over 17 regular-season outings (10 starts). The 26-year-old could be one of fantasy's biggest offseason risers after moving away from such a crowded Liberty frontcourt, and she's set for the biggest opportunity of her career to show what she's capable of in a larger role, though the Tempo also signed Temi Fagbenle during the offseason. 2023
When healthy, Sabally had a fairly consistent role for the Liberty in 2024, averaging 13.5 minutes per game across 26 appearances. She showed flashes of potential, including a 14-point, 10-rebound double-double against the Sparks on Aug. 28, one of only two times she played 20-plus minutes in a game. New York lost Kayla Thornton and Courtney Vandersloot this offseason and didn't make any notable acquisitions outside of Cheyenne Parker-Tyus while other stars around the league swapped teams, leaving Sabally to operate as the primary backup to Jonquel Jones again. Sabally can contribute in fantasy if she sees 20-plus minutes, but she's not expected to have that role when everyone is healthy in 2025.
Sabally was selected fifth overall by the Liberty in 2022, but she missed her entire rookie campaign due to an injury. She made her WNBA debut last year for a revamped New York squad and had limited production while operating exclusively off the bench. The 24-year-old averaged 2.3 points and 2.1 rebounds in 7.9 minutes per game over 33 appearances and was an inconsistent part of the rotation, especially late in the year. While Sabally could have some streaming appeal if the Liberty deal with injuries at some point, she shouldn't be considered a viable season-long target.
Sabally missed the entirety of her would-be rookie campaign in 2022 due to right knee surgery, but the 2022 No. 5 overall pick is expected to be healthy and will look to compete for a roster spot in 2023. The 6-foot-5 forward posted 15.4 points and 7.8 rebounds during her final collegiate campaign at Oregon, but it's unclear how her game will translate at the pro level, especially coming off an ACL tear. She also faces a new-look frontcourt that'll feature All-WNBA talents Breanna Stewart and Jonquel Jones, so Sabally's path to regular playing time is significantly hampered. She'll compete for a reserve role with Kayla Thornton, Jocelyn Willoughby, Stefanie Dolson and Han Xu, but barring multiple injuries, it's hard to imagine her cracking the top-50 fantasy producers.
