Howard became a fantasy stalwart during her time with New York and Dallas, but she showed signs of decline in her second stint with Indiana a year ago for her age-34 campaign. She averaged 11.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.2 steals in 24.1 minutes per game across 44 regular-season appearances in 2025 but connected on 55.2 percent of her field-goal attempts Howard's averages were her lowest since the truncated 2020 season, when she helped lead the Storm to a WNBA championship, but her shooting efficiency was her best since 2016 with Minnesota. Howard's splits were relatively similar with and without Caitlin Clark in the lineup during 2025, but she did lose out on plenty of usage to Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell. Howard signed a two-year contract with the Lynx during the offseason and should play a prominent role in Minnesota's frontcourt, especially since Napheesa Collier is expected to miss at least the first month of the regular season. Howard supplied 26 points (11-15 FG, 4-5 FT), 14 rebounds and five assists across 33 minutes in Saturday's 85-75 win over the Sky.

ANALYSIS
Howard got off to a strong start in this one, recording 22 points and nine rebounds across 17 first-half minutes. Although she was less productive as a scorer in the second half, the veteran forward dished out four assists in the final two quarters and ended up tying her season high in points. Howard also led all players in rebounds en route to her second double-double through six regular-season outings. She has now scored at least 13 points in five straight games and should continue seeing increased usage with Napheesa Collier (ankle) sidelined.

Howard missed 12 games due to a foot injury early in 2024, but when healthy, she was a bright spot for a Wings team that struggled for most of the year. Over 27 appearances, she averaged 17.6 points, 6.7 rebounds and a career-high 2.9 assists in 30.6 minutes per game. However, she explored other options in free agency and will be a member of the Fever in 2025. The 33-year-old was drafted fifth overall by Indiana in 2014 and will join an up-and-coming team that retained Aliyah Boston, Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell while adding DeWanna Bonner during the offseason. Howard succeeded while playing alongside multiple stars in Dallas, and she should remain productive with her new team.

Howard was traded from the Liberty to the Wings before the 2023 season, leading to some questions regarding how she'd fit in alongside stars like Arike Ogunbowale, Satou Sabally and Teaira McCowan. However, Howard carved out a prominent role with her new team and played a career-high 33.1 minutes per game. She had some of the best results of her career, averaging 16.5 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.6 assists while making 39 appearances. The 32-year-old's shooting efficiency declined slightly last season, but her scoring mark was the second-highest of her career. Satou Sabally re-signed with the Wings during the offseason, but Howard has proven that she can generate substantial production. Howard has appeared in all but one game in each of the past two seasons, and fantasy managers should have few reservations about selecting her in the early rounds of drafts.

Howard joined the parade of players changing teams this offseason, being dealt from the Liberty to the Wings as part of a three-team trade. Howard joins a much more formidable unit in Dallas, featuring the likes of Teaira McCowan, Satou Sabally and Diamond DeShields, though DeShields will miss a chunk of the season due to a knee injury. Howard may not have the same free reign in Dallas, but she should claim a significant share of the usage coming off another impressive campaign in 2022 that saw her rank in the top 10 overall in points leagues and the top 15 on a per-game basis, doing most of her damage in the scoring column (15.1 points per game) and on the glass (7.3 rebounds), adding 2.3 blocks-plus-steals to her line on the defensive end.

Howard missed over half of the 2021 campaign due to a knee injury, but she still finished her first season with New York as the team's leading rebounder (7.2 per game) and second-leading scorer (16.2 per game). Now healthy, the 6-foot-3 center figures to be a force in the paint for the Liberty and should be one of the team's major producers throughout the 2022 season. The addition of Stefanie Dolson may cut into Howard's overall usage slightly, but it's possible the Liberty opt to play both bigs at the same time, which could work considering they both can stretch the floor.
