2026 Fantasy Outlook
Mabrey has been a consistent scorer since the start of her career in 2019, having averaged between 13.3 and 15.0 points per game in each of the past five seasons. She averaged 14.4 points across 31.5 minutes per game in 2025, but she connected on just 36.7 percent of her field-goal attempts, including a career-low 27.0 percent from three-point range on 7.0 attempts per game. Mabrey was selected by the Tempo in the first round of the WNBA Expansion Draft and subsequently designated as a core player by Toronto. Mabrey's main fantasy value comes from her ability to score at multiple levels, and she'll have even more upside if her efficiency from beyond the arc bounces back, as she shot 42.4 percent on 6.2 three-point attempts per game in 2024. Mabrey posted 19 points (7-18 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT) with five rebounds, five assists, one steal and one block across 31 minutes in Sunday's 89-76 loss against the Wings.
ANALYSIS
Mabrey was able to shake off a neck injury that forced her out of the lineup June 27 against the Mercury. With Mabrey back, Kia Nurse shifted back to the bench. Mabrey and Nurse each provided the Tempo with three successful three-pointers, accounting for six of the team's 10 makes from beyond the arc. Mabrey has scored at least 18 points in five consecutive games, including her stellar 53-point effort against the Sparks on June 25.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2025

2022
Mabrey was traded from the Wings to the Sky ahead of the 2022 campaign, but she requested another trade midway through last season. The request was granted during the All-Star break, and she joined the Sun for the final 16 games of the regular season. The 28-year-old played mainly off the bench for Connecticut, averaging 14.9 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 27.4 minutes per game. Connecticut had significant roster turnover during the offseason, leading Mabrey to request a trade, but the Sun indicated in February that they plan to deny the request. Assuming she remains with the Sun in 2025, the Notre Dame product will likely be in line for a starting role. Mabrey has showcased fantasy upside in the past and should do so once again this year as long as her unfulfilled trade request doesn't impact her regular-season availability.
Mabrey has shown improvement over the first five seasons of her professional career, and she took one of her most significant steps after being traded from the Wings to the Sky ahead of the 2023 campaign. The 27-year-old served exclusively as a starter alongside Courtney Williams in the backcourt and averaged a career-high 15.0 points to go with 3.7 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 30.0 minutes per game while appearing in all but one game. In previous seasons, Mabrey hasn't displayed as much upside as some other players being selected in the earlier rounds of fantasy drafts due to her inconsistency in the rebounding and assist columns. However, she should have a chance to take on a leading role for a rebuilding Sky squad in 2024 since Williams, Kahleah Copper and Alanna Smith are all playing elsewhere. Mabrey should be Chicago's top offensive option this season and could see her role increase even more following an impressive first year with the team in 2023.
Mabrey expressed her interest in moving on from Dallas during the offseason and was granted her wish, heading to Chicago as part of a four-team trade and snaring a three-year deal with her new club. Mabrey moves out from the shadow of Arike Ogunbowale in Dallas, but she still doesn't have a true point guard at her side in the backcourt, joining another scorer in Courtney Williams to form the Sky's new tandem. Williams' usage (20.5 percent) isn't on the same plane as Ogunbowale's (27.6), so Mabrey should claim more shot opportunities with the Sky. Mabrey's new deal suggests the Sky are committed to her being a big part of the plans, and she has the tools and environment in Chicago to surpass her 13.6 points, 3.7 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 1.2 blocks-plus steals from last season.
Mabrey finished as the Wings' second-leading scorer (13.3) behind Arike Ogunbowale during the 2021 campaign. She scored 20-plus points eight times, including a season-high 28 on two occasions. However, she started just eight games after starting 12 during the 2020 campaign - her first with Dallas. The 5-foot-11 guard figures to operate behind Arike Ogunbowale, Moriah Jefferson and Allisha Gray once again during the 2022 campaign, but she should still garner plenty of opportunities off the bench. As a sporadic player, it may be difficult to trust her on a game-by-game basis, but her ceiling is certainly intriguing in terms of fantasy potential.
