Lou Lopez Senechal

Lopez Senechal was the No. 5 pick in the 2023 WNBA Draft, but she missed her entire rookie campaign due to a knee injury. However, she had a productive collegiate career while playing four seasons at Fairfield before transferring to UConn for her final year. She averaged 15.5 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 31.5 minutes per game while serving exclusively as a starter at UConn. She's a late arrival to training camp in 2024 due to overseas commitments, but if she's available for the start of the regular season, she'll likely compete with Maddy Siegrist, Emma Cannon and Kalani Brown for minutes in the frontcourt. All four players could see larger roles than expected over the first half of the season since Satou Sabally is expected to be sidelined through the Olympic break due to a shoulder injury.
