Lindsay Allen

Allen has played for four teams over her first six seasons in the WNBA. She enters this season coming off a career-best campaign in 2023, as she averaged 6.2 points, 4.5 assists and 2.4 rebounds in 24.1 minutes per game over 29 appearances (20 starts) before missing the end of the season due to a thumb injury. While she showcased her ability to generate offense as a passer, she shot just 39.9 percent from the floor and 20.6 percent from beyond the arc. Allen generally had enough well-rounded production to make her a fantasy asset, but her real-life value as a point guard is hindered by her lack of efficiency. Although the Sky lost Courtney Williams in free agency, Dana Evans could be the favorite to serve as the team's starting point guard to begin the 2024 campaign, which would likely lead to Allen taking on a bench role.

Allen was waived by Indiana ahead of the 2022 campaign and remained a free agent until landing a seven-day deal with the Lynx at the end of July. She impressed and was rewarded with a second seven-day contract before being signed for the rest of the season. She appeared in nine total contests and averaged career highs in points (6.7) and assists (3.4), but her overall numbers are inflated by a 26-point, six-assist performance in Minnesota's final game of the regular season. The Lynx retained most of their roster and added Tiffany Mitchell to the backcourt this offseason, so despite her offensive outburst to end 2022, Allen's chances of cracking fantasy relevancy in 2023 are low heading into training camp.

Allen played a reasonably minimal role for the Fever early in the 2021 campaign, but she started in each of her final eight appearances with Danielle Robinson sidelined and averaged 10.4 points, 2.0 rebounds and 5.1 assists over 32.9 minutes. Despite her promise to close out the year, Allen figures to settle back into a bench role in 2022 and things figure to get more complicated with the Fever adding youth with four of the top 10 picks in the WNBA draft.
