Past Fantasy Outlooks
2025
2024
2023
Amihere was the eighth overall pick by Atlanta in the 2023 WNBA Draft, but she struggled to enter the team's rotation over the first two years of her career. Over her first two seasons in the league, she averaged 2.0 points and 1.4 assists in 6.1 minutes per game. She was waived by Atlanta in February and subsequently claimed by the Valkyries. Golden State focused on several international prospects during offseason activities, but Amihere was waived by the Valkyries ahead of the regular season, even after she played double-digit minutes in each of the team's two preseason games. She could draw interest from other teams in 2025, but her fantasy upside seems limited.
Amihere was a first-round pick by the Dream in 2023, but she struggled to enter the team's rotation during her rookie season. The 22-year-old averaged 2.7 points in 7.0 minutes per game over 21 appearances while operating exclusively as a reserve, and she'll have increased competition for playing time in 2024 after the Dream acquired Tina Charles and Aerial Powers during the offseason. While Amihere was a solid contributor in college at South Carolina, she seems unlikely to have a significant role in the WNBA during her second professional season.
Amihere didn't consistently find playing time at South Carolina, averaging just 15.9 minutes per contest. That said, she was fairly efficient when on the floor, averaging 17.8 points per 40 minutes. She's also a pest on the defensive end, notching 2.7 blocks and 2.1 steals per 40, and Amihere's combination of size (6-foot-4) and athleticism earned her the eighth overall selection in the 2023 WNBA Draft. Amihere also joins a Dream frontcourt that is somewhat thin for quality depth, so she could claim some minutes, though expectations should remain tempered for the raw rookie.
