2026 Fantasy Outlook
The No. 4 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft, Iriafen started all 44 games for the Mystics last season. She got out of the gates hot before a lull in offensive production in the middle of the campaign, but she finished strong, averaging 15.6 points, 8.7 rebounds and 1.9 assists over her final 19 appearances. Iriafen and fellow rookie Sonia Citron were bright spots during an otherwise disappointing season that saw Washington lose 10 straight games to end the year, finishing seven games out of the playoff picture. However, there's a belief that with a Year 2 leap from Iriafen and Citron, the Mystics could compete for a postseason spot in 2026. Iriafen is an elite rebounder who can score efficiently, but she attempted only 11 three-pointers, averaged just 0.8 stocks per game and wasn't a stellar playmaker as a rookie. Unless she improves in those categories, Iriafen will have a limited fantasy ceiling, but the prowess on the boards gives her a high enough floor to warrant a top-50 pick on draft day. Considered day-to-day
Iriafen (ankle), who has already been ruled out for Friday's game against Toronto, is considered day-to-day, Jenn Hatfield of The Next reports.
ANALYSIS
Iriafen suffered a sprained ankle in Monday's 98-76 loss to Indiana and will miss her first career WNBA game Friday. She is considered day-to-day, so it appears she could be back on the floor when the Mystics face the Liberty on Sunday. While Iriafen is out of commission, Cotie McMahon and Angela Dugalic are the favorites to see more action, with one of them expected to enter the starting lineup against the Tempo.

2025 Fantasy Outlook
Elena Delle Donne officially announced her retirement during the offseason, but Iriafen should provide immediate frontcourt production for the Mystics as a rookie in 2025 after being selected with the No. 4 pick in the draft. Iriafen spent her first three collegiate seasons at Stanford but transferred to USC following a breakout junior year, and she remained dominant with the Trojans. Over the last two seasons, the 22-year-old averaged 18.7 points, 9.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 29.0 minutes per game, and she should see ample playing time as a rookie, even if she has to settle for a bench role behind Stefanie Dolson, Aaliyah Edwards and Shakira Austin. The Mystics struggled on the boards last year, so Iriafen should be able to provide a boost while also offering solid scoring potential, which could give her some fantasy upside.
