Burke parlayed a minor breakout 2025 campaign with the Liberty into a one-year deal with the Sun, where she started Connecticut's preseason opener and scored 13 points in 21 minutes. The 29-year-old forward averaged career highs across the board last season, posting 8.1 points, 2.4 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 0.8 steals in 24 games while shooting 49.6 percent from the field and 47.5 percent from beyond the arc. However, a right calf strain cost her a couple of weeks. Burke's three-point shooting was a revelation in 2025 after years of inconsistency from distance, and if that efficiency carries over, she could carve out a meaningful role in Connecticut's rotation. The concern is that the Sun already have plenty of established options competing for minutes, including fellow newcomer Brittney Griner, which could cap Burke's upside. She's best viewed as a late-round dart throw in fantasy drafts, with most of her value likely coming as a streaming option during weeks when Connecticut's schedule is favorable or when injuries open up additional playing time.
