Kelsey Mitchell

30-Year-Old GuardG
 Indiana Fever  WNBA
2026 Fantasy Outlook
Mitchell has increased her level of production every year since entering the league in 2018, and in 2025 she averaged a career-high 20.2 points per game along with 3.4 assists, 1.8 rebounds, 0.9 steals and 2.5 threes over 31.4 minutes. She also played in all 44 regular-season games and in all eight postseason games, and Mitchell and Jackie Young both took on larger roles for the second half of the regular season after Caitlin Clark was shut down due to a groin injury. The trio of Mitchell, Clark and Aliyah Boston figure to be the core players for the Fever in 2026 after the team retained all three of them during the offseason. Read Past Outlooks

GIndiana Fever
July 5, 2026
Mitchell recorded 27 points (7-18 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 10-12 FT), three assists, two rebounds and one steal across 33 minutes in Sunday's 84-68 victory over the Aces.
ANALYSIS
With Caitlin Clark (back) sidelined, Mitchell is the No. 1 scoring option for the Fever, and she did a great job on offense. Mitchell was especially solid driving to the basket and creating free-throw opportunities. She has scored at least 22 points in six of the past seven games, and she has averaged 27.7 points per game across her last three outings.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2025

2023
2022
Although the Fever drafted Caitlin Clark with the first overall pick in 2024, Mitchell remained productive as a scorer, as she averaged a career-high 19.2 points per game while shooting 46.8 percent from the floor, which was also the best mark of her career. Mitchell was designated as a core player during the offseason and will return to Indiana for an eighth season. The 29-year-old doesn't generate much production outside of the scoring column, which can lead to some lackluster performances in games where she struggles to find her shot. However, she's appeared in all 40 regular-season games over the past two seasons and proved in 2024 that she can maintain high-level fantasy production. Even though the Fever also acquired DeWanna Bonner and Natasha Howard during the offseason, and Clark could take another step in 2025, Mitchell should have plenty of opportunities to showcase her upside.
Mitchell is one of the league's top scorers, as her 18.2 points per game last season ranked 10th in the WNBA. However, she averaged just 3.1 assists and 1.6 rebounds in 33.7 minutes per game, meaning she's prone to lackluster fantasy results in games where she struggles from the line. The 28-year-old props up her fantasy value with her production from the perimeter, and she made a career-high 2.6 three-pointers per game last year. While Mitchell should continue to be a prolific scorer in 2024, she could see her role decrease slightly if the Fever select Caitlin Clark with the No. 1 overall pick in this year's draft. Mitchell is a reliable fantasy option who has appeared in every game in five of her six professional seasons, but she carries slightly more risk than other top options due to her lack of production in secondary categories.
While plenty of high-value targets were on the move this offseason, Mitchell is staying in place as the featured player on a still-young Indiana roster. Her 2022 campaign ended early due to a partial plantar fascia tear in her left foot, causing her to miss the final five games. However, Mitchell still finished as a top-25 fantasy player overall and a top-20 option on a per-game basis in points leagues, averaging 18.4 points, 4.2 assists and 1.9 rebounds per game. Mitchell draws most of her fantasy intrigue from her scoring ability, and she could fill the scoring role more naturally in 2023 after the Fever reconnected a pure distributor in Erica Wheeler this offseason.
Mitchell took on a leading role for the Fever once again in 2021, and her results remained consistent with 17.8 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 33.1 minutes per game. She also stepped up defensively with a career-high 1.1 steals per game. Although Indiana figures to add several contributors during the offseason since the team has four of the top 10 picks in the 2022 draft, Mitchell's role should be safe as a star for the organization to build around. The 26-year-old hasn't averaged more than 2.6 rebounds or 2.8 assists in any of her first four seasons in the WNBA season, but her consistent scoring ability makes her a fantasy asset. She may be relied on to score more in 2022 with the Fever shipping Teaira McCowan, one of the team's leading scorers from last season, to Dallas.
