Kamilla Cardoso

24-Year-Old CenterC
 Chicago Sky  WNBA
2026 Fantasy Outlook
Cardoso took a significant step forward on the offensive end in her second season with Chicago, averaging 13.6 points on 52.8 percent shooting from the field compared to 9.8 points on 52.1 percent shooting in her rookie campaign. The South Carolina product also averaged 8.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.2 blocks and 0.4 steals in 27.6 minutes per game across 40 regular-season appearances (39 starts), though her defensive numbers dipped slightly in Year 2. Her role grew as the season progressed, with averages of 14.8 points, 9.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.5 blocks over 30.3 minutes per game across 22 outings following the All-Star break. She recorded 13 double-doubles last season and could see an even larger role in 2026 after Angel Reese was traded to Atlanta, but the Sky retained Elizabeth Williams in free agency and acquired Azura Stevens and Rickea Jackson, so there will still be several talented frontcourt options in Chicago in 2026. Past Fantasy Outlooks
2025
2024
Cardoso was selected third overall by the Sky last year, but her rookie season got off to a slow start after she sustained a shoulder injury during the preseason that forced her to miss the first six games of the regular season. She was brought along slowly in her first three games back, but she claimed a starting role afterward and retained that job for the remainder of her appearances. Cardoso showed promise when she was fully available, as she averaged 9.8 points, 7.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 27.4 minutes per game despite playing alongside fellow rookie Angel Reese, who set a WNBA record for most consecutive double-doubles last year. Cardoso should have opportunities to continue developing in 2025, but she'll likely have to split some work with Elizabeth Williams, who missed most of last season due to a torn meniscus.
Cardoso had a prominent role at Syracuse as a freshman but had to settle for a bench role over her first two seasons at South Carolina after transferring to the program ahead of the 2021-22 season. However, she started in 32 of 33 appearances during the 2023-24 campaign after several of the Gamecocks' key contributors graduated. She was a dominant frontcourt presence, averaging 14.4 points, 9.7 rebounds, 2.5 blocks and 2.0 assists in 25.4 minutes per game to help lead the team to an undefeated season that culminated in a national championship. Cardoso's efforts made her the No. 3 selection in the 2024 WNBA Draft, and she joins a Sky team that is rebuilding after losing several reliable players during the offseason. Cardoso and fellow rookie Angel Reese should provide an immediate physicality in Chicago and are in a destination where they should be able to contribute right away. While the Sky retained frontcourt pieces Elizabeth Williams and Isabelle Harrison ahead of the 2024 campaign, Cardoso should see ample playing time and has the potential to be a solid fantasy contributor as a rookie if her physical style of play can translate to the WNBA.
