2026 Fantasy Outlook
Jones' production took a hit during the 2025 campaign after she missed an extended period before the All-Star break due to a right ankle injury. The 2021 WNBA MVP appeared in 31 regular-season outings, averaging 13.6 points, 8.1 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.7 triples and 1.1 blocks while shooting 42.4 percent from beyond the arc in 26.8 minutes per contest. She underwent a minor procedure in October to correct instability in her right ankle and has spent the offseason recovering. Although she was an unrestricted free agent this spring, the veteran center will return to New York with Sabrina Ionescu and Breanna Stewart. Jones is still capable of delivering elite fantasy value, finishing inside the top-10 players in 2024. She figures to be an early-to-mid-round target in fantasy drafts ahead of the 2026 campaign. 2022
Jones' production declined slightly during her first season with the Liberty in 2023, but she improved in 2024, averaging 14.2 points and 9.0 rebounds to go with a career-high 3.2 assists per game during the regular season, and she was named the WNBA Finals MVP after averaging 17.8 points and 7.6 rebounds in 36.6 minutes per game during the five-game series against the Lynx as New York took home its first championship. Leonie Fiebich emerged as a stronger contributor for the Liberty last season, but Jones proved in 2024 that she's still capable of providing elite fantasy production, even while playing alongside Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu.
After six seasons with the Sun, including an MVP in 2021, Jones joined the revamped Liberty last offseason and had a slow first month with her new team. The slow start can be attributed to a foot injury, which caused her to operate on a minute limit. However, she appeared in 42 of the final 43 games, including postseason, and averaged 13.1 points, 9.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.6 blocks in 28.3 minutes during that stretch. Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu were the offensive focal points in New York, but Jones' consistent double-double production was a key piece of the Liberty's run to the WNBA Finals. In 2023, Jones attempted 8.4 shots per game, her fewest since 2018, but she still finished as a top-20 fantasy player. She was a perennial top-10 finisher with Connecticut, so it's accurate to say her production dropped during her first season in New York. However, she remains an elite and dependable fantasy option after re-signing with the Liberty this offseason.
Jones will don a new uniform for the first time in her career in 2023, moving from the Sun to the Liberty this offseason as part of a three-team trade. She joins the likes of Breanna Stewart, Sabrina Ionescu and Courtney Vandersloot on a loaded Liberty roster. Unfortunately, Jones' move to a usage-heavy roster means her production may falter, given the added demand for the ball. Jones ranked 25th in the league in usage (23.3 percent) last season, but Stewart was second (28.0) and Ionescu was ninth (25.6), so something has to give in that department. Jones also shot 36.9 percent from beyond the arc, and the Liberty's likely starting five can all do the same, theoretically opening space for Jones and Stewart on the inside. Jones should still challenge for top-15 fantasy status, but she's unlikely to reach the heights of her time in Connecticut.
Jones agreed to a two-year extension this offseason after winning MVP honors last year. During the 2021 campaign - her fifth season in the WNBA - she averaged 19.4 points, 11.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.3 blocks in 31.7 minutes while shooting 51.5 percent from the field, 80.2 percent from the free-throw line and 36.2 percent from three. Even with the addition of Courtney Williams and a healthy Alyssa Thomas, she figures to be Connecticut's go-to option once again and should be a consistent and prolific producer during the 2022 campaign.
