Janelle Salaun

Salaun was one of only two players who averaged at least 11 points per game and made more than 26 appearances for the Valkyries during their inaugural season, which ended in a surprise playoff berth. She also led the team in rebounds per game (5.1) as a rookie. Given that Salaun was one of the Valkyries' best players, it wasn't very surprising to see her sign a multi-year contract with Golden State during the offseason, especially since the team had exclusive negotiating rights with her. While she was a great scorer and solid rebounder, Salaun didn't provide consistent playmaking or defensive production. However, she has plenty of upside and can develop into a more well-rounded player, especially if she's given a longer runway in Year 2. Read Past Outlooks
