May 4, 2026
Van Lith was waived by the Sky on Monday.
ANALYSIS
Following a productive collegiate career between Louisville, LSU and TCU, Van Lith spent her rookie season with the Sky in 2025, averaging 3.5 points, 1.6 assists and 1.1 rebounds in 12.4 minutes per game. She was productive during the preseason, averaging 12.5 points and 4.5 assists in 20.5 minutes per game, but she'll be left off Chicago's Opening Night roster ahead of the 2026 campaign. If the 24-year-old clears waivers, it wouldn't be surprising to see the Sky express interest in retaining her via a developmental spot.

2025 Fantasy Outlook
After dominating at Louisville over her first three seasons in college, Van Lith transferred to LSU for the 2023-24 season and saw her production decrease. However, she transferred to TCU last year and bounced back while seeing time at point guard, and she helped lead the Horned Frogs to the Elite Eight in the NCAA Tournament. Van Lith was also part of the 3x3 Olympic squad for Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics, experience that could help her as she transitions to the WNBA. While the 23-year-old has had success on several different stages, she'll likely have an opportunity to learn and develop early in her WNBA career after the Sky acquired Courtney Vandersloot and Ariel Atkins during the offseason. Van Lith could develop into a solid WNBA player at some point, but her fantasy value as a rookie will likely be mainly as a streaming candidate.
