2026 Fantasy Outlook
After spending the first eight years of her career in Connecticut, Jones signed a one-year deal with the Dream in 2025. The veteran center played a key role for Atlanta and earned her fourth career All-Star selection, averaging 12.8 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.9 combined steals-plus-blocks while shooting 52.7 percent from the field in 26.6 minutes per contest across 44 regular-season games. However, Jones sustained a meniscus tear while playing overseas for USK Praha this offseason and underwent surgery in February. She'll remain with Atlanta in 2026 and is slated to work alongside new acquisition Angel Reese in the frontcourt, but the Dream announced in mid-April that Jones will be sidelined indefinitely while recovering from her surgery, so it's not yet clear when she'll be able to make her season debut. Past Fantasy Outlooks
2025
2024
2023
2022
Jones was on track for a career-best season in 2023, but she ruptured her Achilles after just 13 games. She returned to action in 2024 and didn't miss any games, but she couldn't quite regain her production from the year before, as she averaged 13.7 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.2 steals in 27.2 minutes per game during the regular season, all of which were down from her abbreviated 2023 performance. The 29-year-old spent the first eight years of her career playing alongside a strong frontcourt presence in Alyssa Thomas, and although Jones will have a change of scenery in Atlanta in 2025, she'll be playing alongside Brittney Griner and Rhyne Howard. Jones should still be capable of providing consistent fantasy production, but her upside could be somewhat limited due to the strength of her teammates in the frontcourt.
Jones appeared to be on track for one of the best years of her career in 2023 but suffered a ruptured Achilles after just 13 games. Before her injury, she averaged 15.9 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.8 steals in 31.7 minutes per game, all career-best marks. The 28-year-old has been incredibly efficient from the floor in recent years, converting 58.1 percent of her field-goal attempts over the past four seasons. She re-signed with Connecticut this summer on a one-year, $212,000 deal -- an indication that the team believes she'll fully bounce back from the Achilles injury. Jones said at the end of last season that she's on track in her recovery, but it's not yet clear whether she'll be fully available once the regular season gets underway in 2024.
Jones compiled another impressive season in 2022 despite primarily appearing off the bench, compiling 13.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.2 steals per game. Jones has spent the early portion of her career in the shadow of Jonquel Jones, but that is slated to change in 2023 with Jonquel headed to New York via trade this offseason. Brionna Jones will thus presumably reclaim a permanent starting role in the Sun's frontcourt and should see both her playing time and production spike. She posted a career year as a full-time starter in 2021, averaging 14.7 points and 7.3 boards, and Jones' per-36 production from last year suggests she could best those numbers in 2023.
Jones averaged career-high counts in points (14.7), rebounds (7.3) and assists (1.8) during the 2021 campaign while shooting 57.1 percent from the field and 79.6 percent from the free-throw line. Partnered with DeWanna Bonner and Jonquel Jones, Connecticut has arguably the most formidable frontcourt in te WNBA, though Bonner and Brionna are certainly secondary options behind the reigning MVP However, all three players may see a slight dropoff in their overall production with the addition of Courtney Williams, who averaged 16.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 4.0 assists for the Dream last season and is slated to take over the starting role vacated by Briann January, who is now with the Storm.
