Back with New York
The Liberty re-signed Laney-Hamilton on Wednesday, per Madeline Kenney of the New York Post.
ANALYSIS
Laney-Hamilton missed the 2025 WNBA season due to left knee surgery, but New York is bringing her back to shore up its backcourt depth. The Liberty indicated in their announcement that Laney-Hamilton is healthy, though it wouldn't be shocking if New York eased her back into action to begin the new campaign. That said, it also wouldn't be surprising if she eventually reclaims a significant role in the backcourt once she's ready to take on a full workload, especially with Natasha Cloud remaining unsigned this offseason.

Past Fantasy Outlooks

2024
2023
2022
Laney-Hamilton enjoyed the best two years of her career in 2020 and 2021, and while she hasn't been quite as productive over the three seasons since then, she's been remarkably consistent over that stretch. Across those three years, she's averaged 11.9 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 29.5 minutes per game, production that gives her a somewhat high fantasy floor. While the Liberty will retain most of their core players from the championship-winning group, Laney-Hamilton dealt with a lingering knee issue last year and underwent knee surgery in March that will likely force her to miss the entire 2025 season.
