Azura Stevens

Stevens played mainly off the bench during her final two seasons in Chicago, but she started in 29 of 35 appearances with the Sparks in 2023. The 28-year-old had her best showing since the abbreviated 2020 campaign, as she averaged 10.8 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 1.1 assists in 26.0 minutes per game. The Sparks have several players who departed ahead of the 2024 campaign, and Stevens will likely see her role grow. However, the Sparks also have the No. 2 and No. 4 overall picks in this year's draft, so the team should at least have a few talented rookies on the court this season. Stevens will also miss the start of the regular season after she sustained an arm injury while playing overseas. Stevens should be a solid fantasy contributor when healthy in 2024, but her upside will depend on how quickly the rookies are able to develop early in the regular season.

Stevens signed with the Sparks this offseason following three productive campaigns in Chicago. She ended as a top-50 overall fantasy producer in each season with the Sky, but her best statistical output came in 2020, when she was limited to 13 games due to injury. She started eight of 35 appearances last year and finished with averages of 10.6 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in 21.9 minutes per game, knocking down 47.2 percent of her shots from the field (9.1 attempts per game) and 36.2 percent from deep (3.3 attempts). The path is clearing for Stevens to play a major role for the Sparks, with Katie Lou Samuelson and Stephanie Talbot likely out for the season and Dearica Hamby slated likely missing at least a decent portion as well. She'll likely compete Chiney Ogwumike for rotational minutes, but there should be plenty to go around. Either way, she should be a high-floor option given her strong production on the boards, ability to block shots and above-average shooting efficiency.

Stevens spent nearly two-thirds of the season in a bench role before moving into the starting five down the stretch. Over her last 11 games, she averaged 9.0 points and 4.9 rebounds in 22.7 minutes per game. She should remain heavily involved in the rotation this season as either the fifth starter or the first player off the bench in the frontcourt. Still, Stevens may not contribute enough to crack starting lineups in many fantasy leagues.
