Aliyah Boston

24-Year-Old CenterC
 Indiana Fever  WNBA
2026 Fantasy Outlook
Boston has been a strong contributor for the Fever since entering the WNBA in 2023, and she's coming off a successful stint in the Unrivaled league, where she earned the Defensive Player of the Year honors after averaging 18.9 points, 9.7 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game. She wasn't able to play in the Unrivaled playoffs due to a right lower extremity injury, but she said at the start of WNBA training camp that she's healthy ahead of the 2026 campaign. Boston's production has been consistent in each of her first three years in the WNBA, though she averaged career highs in points (15.0) and assists (3.7). She's still under her rookie contract but will be a restricted free agent in 2027, so Boston will have plenty of financial incentive behind her this season, especially under the league's new collective bargaining agreement. Past Fantasy Outlooks
2025
2024
2023
Boston was the No. 1 pick by the Fever in 2023 and has been an elite fantasy option over her first two seasons in the league, even while playing alongside Caitlin Clark last year. Boston's production remained remarkably consistent in 2024, as she averaged 14.0 points, 8.9 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 30.9 minutes per game and helped lead the Fever to their first postseason berth since 2016. The Fever parted ways with NaLyssa Smith during the offseason but added veterans Natasha Howard and DeWanna Bonner, who should help take some of the pressure off Boston. Even though Indiana boasts a revamped frontcourt in 2025, the 23-year-old center should continue to be a focal point for the team under new head coach Stephanie White.
The 2023 No. 1 overall pick was the first unanimous Rookie of the Year since 2002. Boston started all 40 games last year, averaging 14.5 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.3 blocks in 31.2 minutes. She formed a strong frontcourt duo with NaLyssa Smith in 2023, and that should continue in 2024, though the expected impending arrival of Caitlin Clark is going to shake things up. Clark’s style of play should instantly make Indiana’s offense better and create easier looks for Boston and Smith, but there’s a concern about a drop in usage for the frontcourt duo given Clark’s ball-dominant style. However, fantasy managers don’t need to worry about that too much, as Boston was able to finish as a top-10 fantasy player as a rookie despite attempting only 10.1 shots per game. She shot 57.8 percent from the field and 40.0 percent from deep (0.3 attempts per game), so an increase in efficiency will be difficult, but the Fever’s offense, which finished in the middle of the league in 2023, is trending toward being a dominant unit in 2024. While Boston’s overall scoring numbers may stagnate or take a hit, she does enough in other categories, especially defensively, to be a top-tier fantasy option in 2024.
The clear-cut No. 1 prospect in the 2023 WNBA Draft, it was no shock to anyone that Boston's name was the first off the board. Boston upgrades the interior presence for Indiana, notching 2.0 blocks per game or more in each of her four seasons at South Carolina and sporting rebounding numbers among the best in the country as well. In addition to her defensive prowess, Boston has the skill to score both around the rim and in the midrange. There's little doubt the Fever will afford the rookie plenty of playing time alongside NaLyssa Smith in the frontcourt, likely at the expense of some of Queen Egbo's minutes, among others.
