Taua rushed 13 times for 70 yards and a touchdown and didn't bring in either of his two targets in the Aviators' 42-27 loss to the Kings on Sunday.

Taua was handed the reins of the backfield for the regular-season finale and made good use of the opportunity, averaging 5.4 yards per carry and recording a two-yard touchdown run in the second quarter. The Nevada product was slotted into a complementary role for most of the 2026 season after performing well as the Michigan Panthers' lead back a year ago, but as he demonstrated Sunday, he could very well compete for a lead role next spring if he doesn't garner an NFL opportunity for the second consecutive season.
