A 2021 sixth-round pick of the NFL's Broncos, Williams offered a glimpse of promise late last season with an 8-63-1 line on 14 targets over the final two games of the regular season. The Auburn product then followed it up with three receptions for 107 yards and a 42-yard touchdown during the Defenders' two-game postseason run, so the fact he led the team in receiving yards to open the new campaign wasn't surprising. Williams will aim to carry the momentum and clear rapport with Jordan Ta'amu into a Week 2 road clash with the Aviators on Friday night.
