Ta'amu couldn't get the Defenders' title-defense season off to anything resembling a positive start, as the veteran signal-caller struggled in a tough road environment against an aggressive Battlehawks defense. Ta'amu took a whopping seven sacks and was also picked off twice, with both interceptions coming in St. Louis territory. Ta'amu naturally displayed much more upside last season, and it's likely he's able to prove his season-opening struggles were just an outlier as soon as a Week 2 road matchup against the Aviators on Friday.
